At community center Lumina, we recently organized a parents’ evening to establish more contact with the adults and parents in the neighborhood. It is also important to find out which children belong to which parent(s). This can help Tania better understand and interpret the children’s behavior. In this way, we can provide additional support if needed. <\/strong><\/p>

During this meeting, we discovered that one of the mothers is blind and is continuously cared for by her daughter, while the father in the family struggles with alcohol addiction. With this extra knowledge, we now have a better understanding of the child’s behavior in the group. <\/p>

The children were given invitations to give to their parents, and five mothers attended, despite the temperature being 32 degrees. With love and pride, the children showed \u2018their\u2019 Lumina to their parent(s). <\/p>

Cris and Tania took the time to explain why community center Lumina exists and what it hopes to mean for the neighborhood. Martin concluded by thanking all the mothers who were present. <\/p>

The evening ended with fun activities, including a game, and of course, we all enjoyed pizza and ice cream!<\/p>

We hope that this evening has lowered the threshold for these mothers and that we will see them soon at the women’s group at community center Lumina.<\/p>
