(Biblical) education, cooking, or arts and crafts: at Lumina’s community centers in Codlea, children from Romania can do it all. Lumina is a Romanian foundation and part of Zalomi. Here, we support children and young people by providing what they need.

We offer a safe, second home where they can be themselves and receive genuine attention. Or where someone provides a listening ear. The driving force at Lumina is sharing the gospel through various activities. This ranges from Bible teaching, education, boys’ and girls’ clubs, to youth evenings.

Zalomi chooses to collaborate with the local population. hey know the culture, norms, and values better than anyone. And that’s when it becomes effective. Stichting Zalomi works as much as possible with volunteers and also invests in paid employees in Romania. This ensures continuity and allows us to pursue a long-term vision. The salaries are lower compared to the Netherlands. Therefore, with a relatively low investment, you can achieve the greatest possible effect.
