New Season Opener

Last Saturday marked the festive opening of the new season at the Lumina community centers. The children couldn’t wait to finally be allowed inside. Lumina had been closed for two weeks due to the vacation, so they were really looking forward to it.

Fun Activities

After a summer break of nearly three months for the schools, the new season has begun. The opening ceremony took place in the morning at the Lumina Colorom community center, and in the afternoon we headed to Lumina Nord.

There was singing, games, and all kinds of fun activities, ranging from face painting to designing your own T-shirt, makeup for the ladies, and cake decorating.

Shoes

The icing on the cake was, of course, receiving the gift!
All the children received a new pair of shoes—something they rarely get.

Local initiative
Through a local initiative, we were able to provide the children’s shoe sizes, and were surprised with no fewer than 74 pairs of shoes.
It is so encouraging and heartwarming to see that the community center is also being shown a warm local heart.

Starting this week, regular programs will resume at both community centers.
