Opening community center Lumina
After weeks of preparation, the time had come, the opening of community center Lumina!
On January 13, the doors of community center Lumina opened. Beforehand, flyers were distributed in the neighborhood and residents were invited to the opening and activities.
The hall was cheerfully decorated, there were plenty of goodies on the table and the doors were wide open.
We have been surprised with the interest from the neighborhood.
Both children, young and old came to the opening. For the children there were crafts and they could get their faces painted. The youngsters entertained themselves with a game on the playstation and the elderly chatted over coffee and tea. The positive reactions to the concept of the community center are heartwarming. From January 16, the first activities will start.
Community center Lumina
The community center opened in the village of Codlea, in Romania. The community center is in a relatively poor neighborhood with a lot of social-emotional and spiritual poverty. The community center wants to bring light to this neighborhood. Lumina is the Romanian word for light.
