Project Visit to Moldova
Martin and Jacqueline have been invited for a project visit in Moldova. Together with missionary worker Gheorghe, they visited various projects and got to know the country of Moldova. They arrived here last week.
Gheorghe is a pastor and missionary worker in Ungheni, Moldova. His mission is to start a church in every village in his area to provide help, hope, and light. He has been active as a missionary worker for over 20 years and has considerable experience.
We are impressed by his dedication and love for the people. In addition to establishing churches, he is involved in other projects. For example, we visited a rehabilitation center for drug and alcohol addicts. Approximately 30 men live there and participate in a program lasting at least six months to kick their addictions. We also looked at ‘centrul Lumina Lumii’. Here, children receive homework assistance, and there is also a gym and a small bakery.
The poverty in this country is evident. Due to the significantly increased gas and electricity prices, life has become even more challenging in recent years. It is motivating and encouraging to see how many valuable projects already exist. It inspires us to think about potential new projects.
